BIOLOGY COURSE
Biology is a college preparatory course that introduces students to the study of life and the interactions between living things and their environment. Students will explore cells, ecological interactions, energy production and use, reproduction and inheritance, environmental diversity, and evolution. This class curriculum is aligned with the most prominent California Biology standards as well as with the class textbook.
PHYSICAL SCIENCE COURSE
Physical Science concentrates on four main areas of study: Geology, Oceanography, Meteorology, and Astronomy. Geology is the study of Earth and its rocks and minerals, and how our planet was formed. Oceanography studies Earth’s oceans and their characteristics while Meteorology studies Earth’s atmosphere, weather patterns, and climate conditions. Lastly, Astronomy investigates space and everything in it. This class curriculum is aligned with the most prominent California Physical Science standards as well as with the class textbook.
